The creation of the Radio Museum in Lafkos is mainly due to a German professor at the University of Switzerland, Wilfried Seps. Seps visited Greece for the first time in the early 1960s and when he touched his foot in southern Pelion, Lafkos. He has bought a home in Lafkos. Wilfried Seps is an electrical engineer specializing in nuclear energy and took part in the CERN experiment,. He donated about 100 radios to Lafkos for the creation of the Museum. He owns over 2,000 radios.
